Professional Ethics

    Code of Professional Ethics

ADaSci sets forth this Code of Professional Ethics to guide the professional and personal conduct of members of the association and its certification holders.

Members and ADaSci Certification Holders Shall:

These principles reflect our commitment to responsible AI, ethical data practices, and professional excellence.

    1

    Uphold Standards

    2

    Act with Integrity

Perform duties with objectivity, due diligence, and professional care, in accordance with professional standards and best practices in AI & Data Science.

    3

    Serve Stakeholders Ethically

Serve in the interest of stakeholders in a lawful manner, while maintaining high standards of conduct and character, and not discrediting the profession or the Association.

    4

    Protect Privacy & Confidentiality

Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information obtained in the course of professional activities unless disclosure is required by legal authority. Such information shall not be used for personal benefit or released to inappropriate parties.

    5

    Maintain Competency

Maintain competency in respective fields and agree to undertake only those activities that can reasonably be expected to be completed with the necessary skills, knowledge, and competence.

    6

    Ensure Transparency

Inform appropriate parties of the results of work performed, including the disclosure of all significant facts known that, if not disclosed, may distort the reporting of results or the understanding of AI model outcomes.

    7

    Advance Education

Support the professional education of stakeholders in enhancing their understanding of AI governance, data ethics, responsible AI practices, and the societal impact of data-driven technologies.

Failure to comply with this Code of Professional Ethics can result in an investigation into a member's or certification holder's conduct and, ultimately, in disciplinary measures.
