AIDP · Holder terms

The conditions on which the credential is held.

Accepted by every holder before a certificate is issued, alongside the ADaSci Code of Professional Conduct.

    Version 1.0 · Effective 23 October 2026

These terms apply to every person conferred the AI Delivery Professional credential by ADaSci. They sit alongside the ADaSci Code of Professional Conduct, which every candidate signs before sitting the examination and which continues to bind every holder. Where the two differ, the Code governs conduct and these terms govern the credential.

    01

    The credential

1.1 AIDP is a professional credential conferred by ADaSci on the basis of a passing result in the AIDP examination. It certifies that the holder met the standard set by the ADaSci Examination Board on the date of the sitting. It is a mark of examined competence; it is not a licence to practise, an academic qualification, or a guarantee of any outcome.

1.2 The credential is personal to the holder and may not be transferred, assigned, or shared.

    02

    Validity and renewal

2.1 The credential is valid for two years from the date results are released. The validity dates appear on the certificate and on the public register.

2.2 A holder renews by passing the AIDP renewal examination before the expiry date. The renewal fee is $150. ADaSci will publish the examination format at least six months before the first expiry date falls due.

2.3 A credential that is not renewed lapses. A lapsed holder may not use the post-nominal or badge, is removed from the register, and may regain the credential only by passing a full examination.

    03

Use of the post-nominal and badge

3.1 A current holder may use the post-nominal “AIDP” in the form “Name, AIDP”, and may display the AIDP badge issued by ADaSci.

3.2 The post-nominal and badge may not be altered, and may not be used to imply that ADaSci endorses the holder’s employer, products, services, or opinions.

3.3 Holders describe the credential accurately, as “AI Delivery Professional (AIDP), conferred by ADaSci”, and never as a degree, diploma, course, or licence.

    04

    The public register

4.1 ADaSci maintains a public register of current holders at adasci.org/aidp showing name, credential number, and validity dates, so that third parties can verify the credential.

4.2 By accepting these terms the holder consents to be listed. A holder may ask to be removed; ADaSci will then confirm the credential to third parties only on the holder’s written authority.

4.3 ADaSci processes holders’ personal data under its privacy policy to administer the credential, maintain the register, and communicate about renewal.

    05

    Conduct and revocation

5.1 Holders remain bound by the ADaSci Code of Professional Conduct for as long as they hold the credential.

5.2 ADaSci may suspend or revoke the credential for breach of the Code; for a credential obtained by misrepresentation, impersonation, or examination misconduct discovered later; for misuse of the post-nominal or badge; or for conduct found by a court or professional body to bring the credential into disrepute.

5.3 Before acting, ADaSci writes to the holder setting out the grounds and allows fourteen days to respond. The Examination Board decides. A revoked credential is removed from the register and its use ends at once.

    06

    Results and appeals

6.1 Results are given as Pass or Not yet passed. Scores, pass marks, item-level results, and examination content are confidential and are not disclosed.

6.2 A candidate may appeal only on the grounds of an irregularity in the conduct of the sitting or an administrative error in recording the result, in writing within fourteen days of release. The standard set by the Board and the content of the examination are not open to appeal.

    07

    Changes to these terms

7.1 ADaSci may revise these terms, notifying holders by email at least thirty days before a revision takes effect. The current version is always published at adasci.org/aidp/terms.
