Corporate AI Training Cost in India (2026 Guide)
What drives corporate AI training cost in India: formats, cohort size, labs, exam fees and published per-seat prices, with a worked budget example.

Corporate AI training cost in India depends mainly on format, audience size and how much of the programme is built around your own data and workflows. Published self-paced licences sit at a few hundred US dollars per learner per year, certification exams cost roughly USD 100 to 350 per attempt, and instructor-led workshops and cohorts are almost always priced through a scoped proposal. This guide explains each cost driver, lists the public price points we could verify, and walks through a sample budget built only from those published prices.

What corporate AI training typically costs in India
Very few training providers publish prices for instructor-led corporate AI programmes, because the final number depends on cohort size, customisation and delivery mode. What you can compare in public are per-seat licences for self-paced libraries, per-learner credential fees and per-attempt exam fees. The table below collects the figures we could confirm on the providers' own pages in October 2026.
| Coursera for Teams licence | USD 399 per licence per year on annual billing | Self-paced catalogue, Professional Certificates and progress dashboards; the Team plan covers up to 499 users | Udemy Business Team plan | Per-user annual price shown in local currency; Enterprise and AI Fluency plans are quote-only | Team plan for 2 to 50 people, with course library, certification prep and skills assessments | AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam | USD 100 | 65 questions, 90 minutes, test centre or online proctored | Google Cloud Generative AI Leader exam | USD 99 plus tax | 50 to 60 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes, valid for three years | ADaSci CFDE (self-paced course and exam) | USD 164.99 | 30 hours of content, 60-question proctored exam, lifetime validity | ADaSci CAASA (self-paced course and exam) | USD 249 | 30 hours of content, 60-question proctored exam, lifetime validity; team volume pricing on request | ADaSci AIDP exam sitting | From USD 350 per sitting | Scenario-based exam for AI delivery leads and product managers | YUVA AI for ALL (Government of India) | Free | 4.5-hour self-paced AI literacy course under the IndiaAI Mission, with a government certificate |
Prices shown in US dollars are as displayed on the providers' pages. Indian buyers should expect currency conversion, GST and, for some exams, local pricing to change the final invoice, so confirm the rupee amount before raising a purchase order.
The main drivers of corporate AI training cost
Two programmes with the same title can differ in price several times over. The difference almost always comes from the factors below, and knowing which ones matter to you is the quickest way to make vendor quotes comparable.
| Format | Self-paced licences, free government courses | Multi-week instructor-led cohorts with labs and capstones | How many live hours are included, and how many are self-study? | Audience size | Large online sessions for hundreds of staff | Small cohorts of 15 to 25 with close instructor attention | What is the maximum cohort size, and how does the per-head price change with volume? | Customisation | Off-the-shelf curriculum | Discovery workshops, role-specific modules, labs on your own data | Is customisation a separate fee, and who owns the custom material afterwards? | Labs and compute | No-code tools and free tiers | Dedicated cloud environments, GPU access, paid model APIs | Who pays for sandbox accounts and API usage during and after the programme? | Certification | Completion certificate only | Proctored exams per learner, with retake fees | Are exam fees bundled, and what does a retake cost? | Trainer seniority | Generalist trainers | Practitioners who have shipped AI systems, or senior leaders for executive sessions | Who exactly will deliver, and can we speak to them before signing? | Delivery mode | Fully online, live or recorded | On-site at multiple offices, with trainer travel and venue costs | Are travel and venue charged at actuals or included? |
Format: workshop, cohort, masterclass or licence
A one-day awareness workshop, a four-week engineering cohort and an annual library licence are different products, and they should be budgeted separately. Short workshops are usually priced per day or per session, cohorts per learner or per batch, and licences per seat per year. Executive masterclasses for CXOs tend to be the most expensive per hour because they use senior facilitators and are tailored to the company's own strategy.
ADaSci's ADaSci Masters programme illustrates the range of executive formats: a 90 to 120 minute boardroom briefing, a four-hour AI Adoption Masterclass, a one to two day functional lab, and a two-week blended cohort. Each is scoped and quoted separately.
Audience size and per-head economics
Fixed costs such as curriculum design, trainer preparation and programme management are spread across every learner. A live online session for several hundred staff therefore costs far less per head than a 20-person engineering bootcamp, even when the total invoice is larger. Ask vendors to quote at two or three cohort sizes so you can see where the price per learner flattens.
Customisation and labs on your own data
Generic content is cheap to deliver because it already exists. Programmes that start with a skills baseline, use your internal documents in exercises and end with capstones on real business problems need discovery time and specialist preparation, and that shows up in the price. For technical teams, budget separately for cloud sandboxes, GPU time and paid model APIs, since these are often billed outside the training fee.
Certification and exam fees
If you want independent proof of skill, add a per-learner exam fee to the budget. Published examples range from USD 99 for Google Cloud's Generative AI Leader and USD 100 for the AWS Certified AI Practitioner to USD 350 for an ADaSci AIDP sitting. Include a retake allowance: both CFDE and CAASA list a USD 20 retake fee per attempt.
On-site versus online delivery
On-site training usually costs more because of trainer travel, accommodation and venue arrangements, and because sessions must be repeated for each location. It often earns that premium for hands-on workshops with non-technical staff. Online delivery is easier to scale across cities and time zones, and it is the usual choice for large awareness programmes.
A worked budgeting example using published prices
Consider a 200-person business unit that wants a basic AI baseline for everyone, deeper skills for managers and analysts, and proof of skill for a small engineering group. The plan below uses only the unit prices published on the pages linked above.
| AI literacy baseline through YUVA AI for ALL | 200 | Free | USD 0 | Self-paced library for managers and analysts via Coursera for Teams | 40 | USD 399 per year | USD 15,960 | Agentic AI credential for engineers via CAASA at list price | 10 | USD 249 | USD 2,490 | Retake allowance for half the engineers | 5 | USD 20 | USD 100 | Leadership credential via Google Cloud Generative AI Leader exam | 5 | USD 99 | USD 495 | Total of published items | USD 19,045 plus taxes |
This total excludes the two items that usually decide whether a programme changes behaviour: live instructor-led sessions and hands-on labs on company data. Those have no public list prices, so request scoped proposals for them and add the quotes as separate lines. Volume pricing will also lower some lines; ADaSci, for example, offers custom team pricing on CAASA in place of the list price used here.
The example also shows a common budgeting trap. The licence line is the largest number on the sheet, yet licences are the format most prone to low usage, which a widely shared AIM report on Indian IT's GenAI training numbers illustrated with a social media claim that an employee finished a GenAI course in about an hour by repeatedly clicking "next". Budget for assessments and applied work alongside access.
How ADaSci scopes and prices corporate programmes
ADaSci does not publish fixed prices for corporate programmes. Its corporate training page describes a scoping process that starts with a consultation, followed by a tailored proposal in about three business days. Each engagement includes a skills baseline, a custom curriculum, labs that use the client's data, capstone projects, assessments and post-training support.
Programmes run from two-day executive briefings to 12-week upskilling bootcamps, for cohorts from 15 learners to rollouts of more than 1,000 employees, delivered on-site, live online or hybrid. Published case studies show the spread: a one-day online session that trained more than 600 Bank of Baroda officers sits at one end, and a 28-hour, four-day in-person engineering programme at FourKites sits at the other.
How to get comparable quotes from training vendors
Send every shortlisted vendor the same brief so that the quotes can be compared line by line. A useful brief states the following:
Ask each vendor to separate fixed costs (design, customisation, programme management) from variable costs (per learner, per day, per exam). This makes it much easier to see what a second cohort will cost.

Frequently asked questions
How much does corporate AI training cost per employee in India?
It ranges from nothing for government literacy courses such as YUVA AI for ALL, to about USD 399 per year for a self-paced Coursera for Teams licence, to custom-quoted amounts for instructor-led cohorts. Add USD 99 to 350 per learner if you include a proctored certification exam.
Is online AI training cheaper than on-site training?
Online delivery is usually cheaper per learner because it avoids trainer travel and venue costs and scales to large audiences. On-site delivery costs more but often works better for hands-on workshops with non-technical teams.
Are there free AI training programmes for employees in India?
Yes. The Government of India's YUVA AI for ALL course under the IndiaAI Mission is free, self-paced and takes about 4.5 hours. It suits a literacy baseline, though most teams will need role-specific training on top of it.
Should certification fees be part of the training budget?
Include them if you need independent evidence of skill, for client-facing staff or for internal promotion decisions. Budget for a retake allowance as well, since some learners will need a second attempt.
Why do corporate AI training providers not publish prices?
Instructor-led programmes vary widely in cohort size, customisation, labs and delivery mode, so most providers scope each engagement and quote after a discovery call. Asking for fixed and variable costs separately makes these quotes easier to compare.
