Forward Deployed Engineer certification, from ADaSci
ADaSci offers the Certified Forward-Deployed AI Specialist (CFDAS), a 60-hour self-paced programme with a 120-question proctored exam. For engineers starting out, there is also the 30-hour Certified Forward Deployed Engineer (CFDE) track.
What a forward deployed engineer does
A forward deployed engineer works directly with customers to turn an AI product into a system that runs inside their business. Instead of building features for a general roadmap, they sit close to one client, learn how its data, tools and teams work, and ship working software against real constraints. On a typical week they scope a problem with stakeholders, connect models to internal data, build agents and integrations, harden them for security and compliance, and measure whether the result moves a business number. They then feed what they learn back to the product team. The role blends software engineering, applied machine learning, solution architecture and consulting, which is why companies such as Palantir, OpenAI and Anthropic hire for it.

How employers verify a credential
Every ADaSci credential carries a unique credential ID and a digital badge. An employer or recruiter enters that ID on the ADaSci verification page and sees the holder's name, the credential earned and the date it was issued, straight from ADaSci's records. Nothing has to be emailed or notarised, and the check is free. Holders can also share the badge on LinkedIn, where it links back to the same verification record.
